DEPLOYMENT
We have different ways you can deploy the marker. It will depend on your situation which type is suitable.
Pole marker
For CAGES. Band on or tiewrap to stancheons. With multiplication cross.
Stand Alone
Bolt on, through 3 vertical holes.
Steel pole with horizontally bored hole mates in to bottom of marking light, tiewraps secure to pole.
Topmark
The topmark contains all the visual information to mark your site including. (See section on topmarks).
BUOYS
We manufacture 2 types of buoy one for inshore and one for more exposed sites. Both are constructed from GRP and so they are tough and have a long lifetime. The keel block is a composite and steel sandwitch which is fixed into the concrete ballast, the concrete section is partitioned off and the rest of the buoy is filled with closed cell foam. The buoys aren't cans or cones until the topmark is fitted allowing flexible usage
(see next section on topmarks).
Open Water
1m waterline diam.
Weight 160Kg
Volume .65m3
Inshore Buoy
1m waterline diam.
Weight 90Kg
Volume .35m3
Keel fittings
The Open water buoy on the left of the image has a conical bottom, the inshore buoy has a step bottom.
TOPMARKS
The topmark carries all the visual information defining if the mark is port/starboard as well as the multiplication cross and the 55266 light unit. The topmark gives our buoys the can or cone shape. The focal plane of the 55266 on the buoy is 2m. We can also manufacture topmarks without the built in 55266 light. Giving the flexibilty of our buoyage system with other lighting systems.
Fitting
The integrated topmark is bolted on to the buoy, making mooring quick and painless.
